Do you have a desire to create and a story to tell? Do you want to rekindle your long-lost creative spark, or finally make time and space for a passion that has too long been pushed aside by life's responsibilities? Join the Mission Creative Writers' Club! Together, members enjoy working on short-form fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry in a supportive environment where we share process, product, and feedback.
No writing experience? No worries! All you need is a bit of curiosity, a bit of life experience, a bit of imagination, a bit of paper, and a bit of lead... or ink... or a laptop! At meetings, our facilitator offers various prompts, exercises, and guidance to encourage and enable us in our craft, as we explore different processes and approaches for getting started and developing ideas; look at different topics like building character(s) and setting; and, most importantly, write.
If you are looking for a mature, encouraging, and structured space in which to find your voice, hone your perspective, and put it all on paper, we would love to have you.
