Each Playground experience is designed to spark curiosity, learning and enjoyment. Explore the Playground's variety of items you can borrow or experience in the library. 

You can create art, learn to code or even explore the stars. The Playground provides unique resources to help you dive deeper into new topics and gain practical, hands-on experience. FVRL's Playground sparks curiosity and creativity for all ages!

Playground Items You Can Borrow

You can take home a variety of kits and tools to enhance your personal learning journey, or just for fun! 

All Playground items are available for free loan with your FVRL library card.

Borrowing a Playground Item
  • Eligibility: Any member with a full-access card. See Getting a Library Card for details
  • Browsing: You can visit in person or search our library catalogue for Playground items you can borrow. If you place a hold request, we can deliver to your nearest FVRL location.
  • Loan Period: Three weeks (two weeks if there are others waiting).
  • Returns: Please return to the service desk at one of our FVRL locations.
