If Fraser Valley Regional Library doesn’t have the book you’re looking for and it was published more than 18 months ago, we may be able to request it for you from another library.

How to Request an Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

  1. Search FVRL’s catalogue first.
Start with the FVRL catalogue to check if we have the book you’re looking for. If we do, you can borrow it immediately, with no need for an interlibrary loan.
  2. Search Illume for availability.
Use the Illume service to see if the book is available from another BC library. Please note that you’ll need to contact library staff to place a request.
  3. Contact FVRL staff to request your ILL.
Visit or call your preferred FVRL location to have staff place the ILL request for you. Be ready to provide:
    • Your library card number
    • Details about the book, or citations for articles
