As part of the City of Abbotsford's Culture City Program Series, join dancer Jay Genaille to learn about the traditional art of hoop dancing through this participatory workshop. Jay is Cree and Salteaux with band membership to Cowessess First Nation, and is the founder of Indigicree Hoop Dancing Co.
This session includes a presentation on the history and significance of the dance form, live performance, and a participatory workshop for attendees. This event is free for all ages. Please consider dressing appropriately for movement and dancing.
