FVRL offers ukuleles for loan at all 25 locations. Ukuleles come in various styles, including left-handed models.
Each kit includes:
- Ukulele
- Digital tuner
- Beginner ukulele book
- Soft ukulele case
- A customer feedback survey (We'd love to hear about your experience with the Ukulele)
Ukulele Resources
Each Ukulele Kit includes Essential Elements for Ukulele by Marty Gross, a beginner’s book that covers the basics. Additionally, FVRL provides an online list of useful ukulele resources.
Tuning a Ukulele
All FVRL ukuleles are set to the traditional GCEA (my dog has fleas) tuning. Use the included digital tuner:
- Turn it on and select the C (key of C) or U (ukulele) option
- Clip it to the ukulele’s head
- Tune each string by tightening or loosening the tuning keys
