From a remote island to the urban jungle, the ever-popular Society of Crows will take you on a journey into the mind of the crow to explore its complex social interactions. Society of Crows delves into the latest research of the complexities of the social behaviour of the crow.  

Join us to hear Dr. Rob Butler, a scientist, author, public speaker and artist, talk on this fascinating species. Dr Butler is a fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographic Society, an outstanding alumnus of Simon Fraser University and Capilano University, and Signature Member of Artists for Conservation. He has won awards for his conservation and communication work. A scientist and adjunct professor he now devotes most of his time to writing, advising, and organizing events related to nature. Rob’s research includes the social behaviour of crows, ecology of herons, and migration of birds. He has published over 150 scientific and popular works including four books. He has appeared on television, radio and in newspapers and his art has been featured in magazines, newspapers and shows.
